If you are looking for creative thinking combined with solid design theory then you've come to the right place. I have years of experience in Design and Art Direction, building Brands and creating compelling design work through the use of practical design theories, creativity and staying true to great typography in print as well as digital mediums (which can be a challenge).
Good design is not just about what looks good, but more importantly, it should connect with the audience at many levels in order to evoke a positive and emotional response. Listening to the client, thinking about their needs, their audience and their end goal is the most important element to a successful project outcome. This focus enables me to realize the communication solution on the first go-around without wasted time and money.
Learning the trade in the fast-paced advertising world on the East Coast - Washington D.C. and Richmond, VA - I developed my skills across many platforms. Growing tired of the same look coming out of the Ad Agencies, I began to integrate electronic design, breaking the old formulas and exploring new ways of thinking about typography and printed advertising. Some of my work caught the attention of the major design magazines and the agency was awarded "Southeast Agency of the Year" during my tenure as Senior Designer. My work has also been featured in Communication Arts, PRINT and HOW magazines.
I moved to Boulder, Colorado and have had the pleasure to help start-ups, entrepreneurs and corporations realize their Brand's visual potential. From Technology to Natural Products, Restaurants and CPG, I use my experience and creativity to bring out the best in a Brand's voice to the consumer.
My goal is to create the best visual representation of the Brand my client is working so hard to build - developing smart and sophisticated design solutions that communicate positively to the intended audience.
